Salatia

Salatia was the Roman Goddess of salt water and Neptune’s beautiful bride. Her name means “the salty one”, a fitting name as all the worn seashells used in this collection were beach combed along the Atlantic Ocean at Neptune Beach in Long Beach, New York.

The Salatia collection is made from various worn seashells; the constant lapping of the ocean’s waves wore down the seashells for years creating a striking, natural honey comb that is both beautiful and complex. The use of patina draws attention to the striking texture of rustic nooks and crevices in the seashell.
